2026 NL Rapid Championships Results

The Rapid Championships concluded yesterday with many tense battles in both sections.

The Crown section was competitive and tough to score points, but John David Farrell finished in clear first place with an incredible score of 6/7, showing amazing form, and losing only to Evan Fang in the final round. JD was able to score impressive wins against Moon, Anthony, and Ryan. Great job to our 2026 Rapid Champion - JD Farrell!!

Moon Nguyen lost only a single game and drew one and found himself near the top of the field again in clear second place with 5.5/7.

Anthony Leonard returned to action with an impressive 3rd place finish and 5/7 (#notwashed).

Top Junior Prize for the crown section is shared by Owen Williams and Timothy Calacala (3.5/7). While Best Performance goes to Matthew Bendzsa (4/7).

In the Challengers section, Brandon Welsh came 1st place a clear full point ahead of the field. Congratulations Brandon!!
Tanav Sharma and Shiven Chauhan finished tied for second with 5/7, but Tanav won the playoff so Tanav finished 2nd and Shiven finishes 3rd.

Top Junior goes to Liam Tucker with 4/7 and best performance goes to Aimee Wang who had 4/7 also.
